About the Artist

My work embraces the ethos of minimalism, distilling complex concepts into essential forms and colors. Each stroke, each space, is a deliberate act of simplification, inviting viewers to engage in a contemplative experience. In this pursuit, I draw inspiration from the Zen philosophy—a commitment to simplicity, balance, and the profound beauty found in the interplay of negative and positive space.

R.K. Red is an internationally collected artist with work visible in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and South America. R.K. Red studied art at a small University in Minnesota, USA. Her education offered her the opportunity to study art throughout Europe with much of her time spent studying in Italy. Her work is largely inspired by her time in Europe and the exploration of material and nature. Red lives with her daughter and husband in the San Francisco Bay Area.
